About the Fund

The For Us, By Us Fund was created in 2016 by two Portland, Maine-based Black organizers in response to community need for BIPOC centered spaces to connect, collaborate, create, and organize. The founders connected with local Maine non-profit Resources for Organizing and Social Change (ROSC) who agreed to be The Fund’s fiscal sponsor.
